With the recent rise in remote jobs and remote learning globally, ICT is now firmly placed in the centre of our lives. Unfortunately in Nigeria the most populous country in Africa, many families are still struggling to get the resources required to join the new digital age.
Handheld devices, personal computers, and Internet data subscriptions are now part and parcel of the digital transformation. CatchUp believes the quicker communities embrace this new age, it will help drive the growth of Nigeria’s digital economy.
Without the right technical skills and resources supported by federal government infrastructure, many people especially young children run the real risk of being left behind as their peers across Africa and the world advance in technological skills and capabilities.
The CatchUp Philosophy towards education and personal development is a concept that CatchUp spearheads in the community, taking advantage of e-learning and new opportunities the Internet offers.

It is for this reason that that CatchUp went into partnership with Gbodo Cares Learning Centre which was established as the first community ICT centre in Surulere LGA, Itire-Ikate community for the benefit of local residents.
The ICT centre, which was launched on Friday, February 5, 2021 has been fully equipped with modern computers, digital projectors, high-speed Internet, backup electricity generators.
The ICT centre has been able to train over 5000 young adults so far on web development and soft business skills to enable them become job ready, meet up with the technological trends, and also improve their standard of living.
In 2024 the CatchUp and Gbodo Cares Learning plan to deliver similar ICT centre like in Surulere LGA around the Lagos metropolis with eight new educational towers.
